✓Cooperate with reasonable room assignments

National Training and the Green Cove Springs Inn are not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or unattended personal property.

Students must receive confirmation of eligibility, room type, arrival date, departure date, and final lodging price before traveling.

No-Visitor Policy

Visitors are not allowed in student rooms for any reason. Rooms are reserved exclusively for the students officially assigned to them.

This applies to family members, spouses or partners, children, friends, other students not assigned to the room, and any other unregistered person. Family members traveling with a student must make their own separate lodging arrangements — family lodging is not included in tuition, student lodging, or the student’s room assignment.

Transportation

National Training does not provide shuttle service. Students are responsible for arranging transportation:

✓To Green Cove Springs ✓Between the Inn and campus
✓To/from airports, bus stations, rental cars, or trains ✓To restaurants, stores, laundromats, appointments
✓During weekends, after training hours, and any other personal destination

When a student staying at the Inn does not have transportation to school, National Training may try to connect them with another enrolled student willing to provide a ride. This is an informal courtesy only — not a shuttle service, not guaranteed, and dependent on another student’s availability. Students must have a backup transportation plan.

Class Arrival & Training Schedule

Students should plan to arrive by approximately 6:45 a.m. for the scheduled 7:00 a.m. start time. Students must attend every scheduled training day, arrive on time, and remain on campus for the full period unless excused by an authorized staff member. Allow extra travel time for traffic, weather, road construction, and unexpected transportation problems.

What Students Must Bring

✓Lunch every training day ✓Closed-toe work shoes or boots
✓Appropriate work clothing & gloves ✓Refillable water bottle & sunscreen
✓Hat for sun protection (when hard hat not required) ✓Weather-appropriate clothing / rain gear
✓Personal medications, toiletries, required ID and school documents

An ordinary baseball cap or sun hat should not be worn underneath a hard hat unless approved and it does not interfere with fit or protection.

Lunch & Food

Students must bring lunch every training day. A vending machine offers limited snacks and drinks — availability and pricing may change, so don’t rely on it as a primary plan. Food and drinks are not permitted inside heavy equipment, and may be restricted in classrooms. Use designated eating/break areas and keep them clean.

Dress Code

✗No open-toed shoes, sandals, or flip-flops ✗No cutoff shorts or tank tops
✗No safety-hazard clothing; loose clothing/jewelry may be restricted

Students must dress for changing weather conditions and wear required PPE as directed. Students without proper clothing or footwear may not be permitted to participate in certain activities.

Cellphones, Photography & Recording

General cellphone and personal-electronics use is not permitted during training. Cellphones may be used only with instructor permission for approved instructional purposes (recording a lecture, filming an approved pre-trip inspection, an equipment inspection, or an authorized demonstration).

Not permitted: personal calls, texting, social media, entertainment, unapproved photos/videos, or recording another person without authorization. An instructor may stop or prohibit any recording at any time.

Age & Training Requirements

Heavy-equipment students must be at least 18 years old, and must be able to speak, read, and write English well enough to participate safely; understand instructions; follow safety rules; operate equipment safely; and meet the school’s admissions requirements.

Contact National Training before traveling with questions about admission, identification, documentation, language requirements, or physical participation.

Green Cove Springs Inn Rules

✗No visitors in student rooms ✗No alcohol or illegal drugs
✗No weapons on property or in rooms ✗No smoking, open flames, or candles
✗No unauthorized cooking appliances ✗No disruptive or unsafe behavior
✗No damage to rooms or property ✗No unauthorized room changes
✗No unregistered overnight guests

Violations may result in removal from the Inn and may affect continued participation in training.

Room Appliances & Cooking

Rooms may include a microwave and refrigerator. Not permitted: toaster ovens, crockpots, hot plates, portable burners, candles, indoor grills. Outdoor barbecue grills may be available — students supply their own charcoal/supplies and must clean the grill after use.

Housekeeping & Laundry

The Inn operates as extended-stay lodging — rooms are generally cleaned once per week. Students keep rooms reasonably clean between visits and contact the Inn office for towels, supplies, or maintenance. There are no on-site laundry facilities; students use a nearby laundromat and arrange their own transportation there.

Check-In & Check-Out

Students must confirm exact arrival/check-in instructions before traveling — the Inn does not staff the property around the clock. Generally:

✓Arrive the Sunday before training begins
✓Check in during the confirmed check-in period
✓Check out on the Friday of the final training week
✓Return all room keys as instructed
✓Pay any approved charges for additional/extended stay

Additional charges may apply for extra nights, early arrival, late departure, lost keys, room damage, excessive cleaning, or other incidentals.
